People see what you drive and they will create an opinion. How you dress, how well your clothes fit are just as important as how you stand and carry yourself. The way your suit hangs and fits do make a difference; and the better the quality of fabric the better you will look in your clothes.

Whether you shop for a suit that is already made or choose to have a set of clothing made for you there are only two real choices; non-wool or wool. Starting with the best fabric will make a difference.

If you are choose a suit that is made out of silk, polyester or linen it would, obviously, be considered non-wool. Polyester being the only one of those three choices that is a man made material. Polyester is a popular choice and is often mixed with wool to lower the cost of a good quality wool suit. Polyester is also easy to care for and doesn?t wrinkle.

A good summer suit would be linen because it is quite lightweight and cool, often chosen by those living in warm climates or as a summer choice. Linen works up into some very nice finished products, but it will wrinkle and requires a little more care than polyester. Linen is also easily soiled and a little bit pricey to keep laundered.

Silk is a suite that is often coveted by men of excellent taste. Business people who visit Hong Kong will often be fitted for a silk suit that is handcrafted by a tailor in record time; and delivered to the hotel for final fitting. Silk is a luxurious fabric that is quite often mixed with wool or linen. Pure silk, is of course, very expensive but also extremely comfortable in warmer climates. This would probably be thought of as an investment due the current prices.

The best fabric to choose for a men’s suit is wool. Wool blends (usually using Polyester) can reduce the cost and also make the suit less likely to crease but for the best experience you should choose 100% pure wool.

Tweed is probably the best known type of wool suit, and is often favored by older gentlemen. However, tweed is very heavy and the style can be unflattering even though it provides good warmth.

A very good choice in fabric would be worsted. It wears well, and long, and can be varied by the weave to produce a heavy or lightweight suit. Tweed can be worn year round and is very resistant to wrinkling. Worsted is probably one of the favorite choices of men who dress for success, and has proven to be dependable over time.
